Elizabeth Dean Lail (born March 25, 1992)[1] is an American actress. She is known for her role as Anna in the ABC adventure fantasy television series Once Upon a Time.

Early life

Elizabeth Dean Lail[2][3] was born in Williamson County, Texas,[1] to her parents, Dean Franklin Lail and wife Kay Lurene Surratt, a distant cousin of John Surratt.[4][5] She has one older sister, Kathryn Dean Lail.[5][6] They moved to Asheboro, North Carolina, from where her ancestors hailed.[7][8]

After graduating from Asheboro High School,[9] Elizabeth began studying acting at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in 2010, and finished school in May 2014.

Career

She has worked in mostly student film productions such as Model Airplane and Without since graduating from university, Lail moved to New York City to pursue stage work when she landed an audition for Once Upon a Time and was cast as Anna.[10] Lail was cast as a camp counselor named Amy in the horror series Dead of Summer.[11]
