Elisha W. Keyes

Elisha Williams Keyes (January 23, 1828[1] November 29, 1910) was an American politician.

Born in Westfield, Vermont, he moved with his family to Jefferson County, Wisconsin and then to Madison, Wisconsin. He sold insurance and studied law. He was admitted to the Wisconsin bar. Keyes was involved with the Whig Party and then the Republican Party. He was the postmaster in Madison and served as mayor of Madison. In 1882, he served in the Wisconsin State Assembly.[2][3]
