Elders with Andrew Denton is a television interview show broadcast on ABC1 in Australia.
The program was the brainchild of Australian comedian, social critic, producer and media personality Andrew Denton, who hosted the show. The hour-long chat show aired from 2008 to 21 December 2009.
Overview
The show was based around in-depth interviews from Australian & international elders from Denton.
The show initially competed against the ABC Radio National or ABC Local Radio in the Monday 8:00 pm timeslot to return of Australian Story.
Extended interviews were recorded in New York, London, Dhaka and Alice Springs with each guest giving their time generously. Equally important was their willingness to participate, to embrace the process and wholly engage with Andrew.
