Elder God
A race of Elder Gods overthrown by a present race of younger gods is a mythic theme in the Ancient Near East and in Indo-European mythologies of the Ancient Greeks, Ancient Germans and other early civilisations (see Titan (mythology), Titanomachy).
Modern adaptations of this mythology include:

- The Elder God, a video-game character in the Legacy of Kain series
- Elder Gods (Marvel Comics), fictional gods in the Marvel Universe
- Elder Gods (Mortal Kombat), fictional entities in the Mortal Kombat mythos
- Elder Gods (Transformers), malevolent entities featured in some Transformers storylines.
