Ejikeme Patrick Nwosu (born February 4, 1983, in Awka Anambra State) is a Nigerian scientist.[1][2][3] He holds an invention patent right of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for his research work on conversion of urine into flammable gases[4] [5] [6] [7] [8]

Career

Ejikeme Patrick Nwosu obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Pure and Industrial Chemistry from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka in 2005. He went further, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Ibadan in 2010. Among his scientific works are isolation of ammonia from human urine[9] and Special theory of inorganic chemical reactions[10] which he completed as an undergraduate and their abstracts were published by the American Chemical Society book of abstracts in 2005. In 2011, Nwosu published a paper titled "Special theory of toxicity: Toxic properties of electron discovered".[11] According to this work single electrons and lone pairs are the major contributors to toxicity in elements and compounds. Atoxopy[12] was also introduced in the said paper to treat some special cases of toxicity. His coined chemistry term, atoxopy, has been translated in Italian, Spanish, Filipino, Chinese and other languages[13][14][15][16] while the pronunciation is also available on YouTube.[17]

In an interview with Daily Independent Newspaper, Nwosu claimed to have developed a scientific theory proving the existence of non-physical, spiritual dimension outside our universe.[18]

New state of water claims

In 2014 Nwosu published a scientific paper which claims that vapor-like water that emanates from ice is another state of water different from conventional vapor because it has a different mode of formation and temperature. He tried to give the differences between vapor and this claimed new water state. This gaseous water from ice was named gason according to the work. But it seems these claims need further researches and more exhausitive experiments to be fully accepted. It seems no scientific paper has supported or disproved his claims.[19][20]

Business and research

In 2010, Nwosu founded Lumos Laboratories and Company and in 2012 got incorporated as Lumos Laboratories Nigeria Limited,[21] a private research and manufacturing company under which he made the discovery of conversion of urine into hydrogen-ammonia-rich flammable gases. He is the President and Director of Research at Lumos Laboratories and Company while his wife Bolanle Perry Nwosu is the Vice President and Director of Branding. According to the company's website, their research interests are in Renewable Energy, development of HIV/AIDS treatment, conversion of waste lubricating oil into high quality ones, development of wind/solar/biogas powered vehicles.[22] Among the company's consumable products are Lumos mosquito repelling scented candles[23][24] and Cleanick; powerful toilet cleanser.[25]

Recognitions

In 2013 Marquis Who’s Who honored Ejikeme Patrick Nwosu with a biographical inclusion for his contributions in the field of Science.[26]
