Rachainn le cabhag gu clachan mo ghaoil,

Do'n dachaidh 's an d'fhuair mi m’ àrach.

'S mis' a bhiodh sona nan robh mi an-dràsd

Ri taobh na cruaich-mhòna, air cnocan a’ tàmh;

An ceò-geal bu bhoidhche a’ lùbadh 's a’ snàmh

'S a’ tuiteam mu ghualainn Blath-Bheinn.

Dhùrachdainn fuireach le cuideachd mo ghràidh

'Sa bhothan aig Uilleam aig tuinne na traigh;

Gu'n éisd bhi òirnn tuille gach oidhche na là,
