Eglantina Zingg (born in Caracas, Venezuela) is an actress, model, television host and agent of peace. She grew up in the Amazons of Venezuela with mostly nature and her large family as her source of entertainment. Fluent in five languages and well traveled, Eglantina began her television career as the face of MTV Latin America, hosting the daily show L’Gueveo, as well as their VMA’s and Movie Awards.
Recognized as “Icon of the Year” by Glamour Magazine in 2011, Eglantina is a natural born model. A fashion ambassador for Mercedes-Benz, and the face of brands such as, Roberto Cavalli, Carolina Herrera, Nike, Paco Rabanne, and Tag Heuer. Most recently she is the host of Project Runway Latin America. Zingg has also graced the big screen debuting in the action film, Secreto De Confesion, directed by Henry Rivero and produced by Edgar Ramirez.
A rebel with a cause, Zingg founded Project Peace Latin America, an organization that promotes values of peace and personal development through soccer for young girls living in vulnerable regions of Latin America. Zingg’s heartfelt goal is to empower girls to believe in their ability to overcome challenges and build brighter futures from themselves and their communities. Conscious of the power the media has over society, she uses her influence to advocate for peace and human rights. For three consecutive years, she has participated in the United Nation’s MEDIA FOR SOCIAL IMPACT SUMMIT, an exclusive reunion where the UN brings together the media’s top leaders to help tackle the world’s most pressing issues. Her commitment to peace and empowering girls is Zingg’s greatest source of motivation. Project Peace Latin America and Zingg entered into a sponsorship agreement with TAG Heuer for 2014 in Venezuela.
Inspired to experience life to the fullest, Zingg is currently bi-coastal, spending time between Miami, LA and NY, where she seeks the new and the avant-garde in fashion for her online lifestyle platform, GuapaNonStop.com. Zingg attended the American University of Florida and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. She is fluent in Spanish, English, French and Portuguese languages.
