The people of Duadaso No. 1 and the Nafana People in general came to their present land from Cote D’Ivoire, a town called Kakala. When they migrated from Kakala, they first settled at Taminge. The Nafana Tribe was very good at war due to their excellence in throwing arrows. At the time they came to settle at Taminge, there came a war between the people of Jamara and Kuulo tribe or people. They informed the Taminge’s King when he saw them evacuating their land and asked of their mission, since the Nafana people who came to settle there were good at war, they accepted the mantle to help the Jamara by fighting the war on their behalf. Their leader was called Sienyonoo which means arrow thrower, he was given the name because he was very good in in that field and his followers in general. They fought and won the war on behalf of the jamara’s. For their pay, they requested of one pan full of Gold, but the people of Jamara could not afford it instead they begged of them to give them part of their land to stay. The land Eastward from Jamara was given to Nana Sienyonoo and his followers. They settled on the land, they first settled at Duadaso No. 1. Nana Sienyonoo’s brothers Amosie and Abodee came to settle on the new land since Nana Sienyonoo was very old at that time. The said war was fought by the help of the Fukala(Banda), their leader was Sie-Longo. After the war, the Fukala were given part of the land which was to the east and they first settled at Meele(Broahene). By the time of the settlement, there were wild animals around this part and so the two brothers settled at different parts, Abodee settled at the present Duadaso No. 2 which was first called ‘‘Gbereese’’ named after the river there. His settlement there helped to drive away the wild animals like elephants. Nana Amosie, the first King’s palace is where Nana Nketiah’s house is sited at present, the log which they were sitting on can be located at where a small area has been cemented around that area, the center of the town.
