Drelb

In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, the drelb is a type of fictional monster.

Publication history

The drelb (haunting custodian) first appeared in the original Monster Manual II (1983).[1]

Description

A drelb is an inhabitant of the Negative Material Plane which is sometimes called to the Prime Material Plane to serve as a guardian of hidden wealth or secret places. A drelb resembles a wraith in appearance. A drelb's nether chill makes its victim fall shivering to the ground. A drelb can use a trick of illusion to diminish its form in size while gliding smoothly forward, making it appear that the drelb is retreating even while it is advancing.

Other publishers

The drelb appeared in the Tome of Horrors (2002) from Necromancer Games.[2]
