gloria! is the eighth studio album released by American singer-songwriter Gloria Estefan, released in 1998 by Epic Records (see 1998 in music).

Content

gloria! is a groove-oriented, exuberant, disco influenced album. As something completely different from Estefan's previous albums, this album is aimed at a younger audience due the stronger Club and Dance rhythms of the album.

Estefan promoted the album at the famous Studio 54 at New York City. The three singles from gloria!, "Oye!", "Heaven's What I Feel" and "Don't Let This Moment End" all became sizeable hits. "Oye!" peaked at #1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play, Hot Latin Tracks and Latin Tropical/Salsa Airplay. "Heaven's What I Feel" peaked at #27 on the Billboard Hot 100, #7 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play, #6 on the Hot Dance Singles Sales and #10 on the Adult Contemporary chart. While, "Don't Let This Moment End" peaked at #76 on the Billboard Hot 100, #30 on the Adult Contemporary chart and #4 on the Hot Dance Singles Sales. gloria! remains a highly regarded album and is touted as her best dance-heavy album of her solo career.

The album got several nominations for its singles, "Heaven's What I Feel" received a Grammy Music Award nomination for "Best Dance Recording", as did "Don't Let This Moment End" the following year. Estefan received another Grammy nomination for "Best Video, Long Form" for her video Don't Stop!. Estefan also won awards such as the Billboard Latin Music Award for "Best Latin Dance Club Play Track of the Year" for her smash hit song "Oye! and also received three Alma Awards for "Outstanding Music Video" for "Heaven's What I Feel", "Outstanding Host in a Variety/Music/Comedy Special or Series" for her appearance at the World Music Awards, the "Ricardo Montalban Achievement Award" and in Spain she received an Amigo Music Award for "Best Latin Female Artist". Estefan received the American Music Award for "Award of Merit".
