Dirar ibn Abdulmuttalib

Dirar ibn Abdulmuttalib was an uncle of the Islamic prophet Muhammad.

He was the son of Abdulmuttalib ibn Hashim and of Natila bint Janab. Hence he was a full-brother of Abbas[1] and of Quthum.[2]:99–101

It is said that he became lost in the crowds during pilgrimage season. His mother vowed that if he was returned to her she would clothe the Kaaba. Dirar was brought back by a Juthamite.

He is described as "handsome in features and benevolent among the youth of the Quraysh."[2]

He died childless before 610.[2]
