Diplomystes is a genus of velvet catfishes, a primitive family of catfishes (order Siluriformes) endemic to Chile.

There are currently three recognized species in this genus:[1]

- Diplomystes chilensis (Molina, 1782) (Tollo)
- Diplomystes nahuelbutaensis Arratia, 1987
