Dipika Kakar (born 6 August 1986)[1][2] is an Indian television actress.[5] She is known for playing the role of Simar Prem Bharadwaj in Sasural Simar Ka.[3] Kakar was a contestant in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 8.
Career
Kakar started her acting career in TV with the role of Lakshmi in the mythological show Neer Bhare Tere Naina Devi,[6] After that, she appeared in Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo as Rekha.[7] Since 2011, she appears in the lead role of Simar Prem Bharadwaj in Sasural Simar Ka.[8] She was a contestant in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 and survived for two weeks until being the first one eliminated from the show.
Personal life
Kakar was married to Raunak Mehta for three years and divorced him in January 2015.[4]
