Dino Jelusić (born 4 June 1992 in Požega, Croatia) is a Croatian rock singer, musician and songwriter. He is the lead singer in the band called Mad Dogs. In 2016. he entered Grammy Awarded American band Trans-Siberian Orchestra along with Mats Leven. Dino also works with John Macaluso (Yngwie Malmsteen, Ark). He was the winner of the first Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2003, which took place in Copenhagen on 15 November 2003.[1]

Biography

1998–2003

Dino was born in Požega on 4 June 1992 currently lives in Zagreb. He has performed since he was very young, appearing in a lot of stages and festivals from 1998.

From 1998 to 2003 he won 10 international festivals in Egypt, Spain, Lithuania, Portugal, Italy and Romania.

2003–2005

In 2003. Dino participated in first Junior Eurovision Song Contest and won with 134 points, leaving Spain in the second place with 125 points.

He released his first album No. 1 worldwide in 2004, and toured America, Denmark and Australia in 2004-2005. In 2004. he became the youngest winner of Porin (nagrada) at the age of 12. In 2005. he was one of the three main acts on Langeland festival in Denmark along with UB40 and Ronan Keating. He had colaboration concerts in Croatia along with the Croatian biggest bands such as Parni Valjak, Gibonni, Prljavo Kazalište and so on.

2008–2011

In 2008 he took part at CMC festival (Croatian music channel festival) with his new band. In 2009, Dino started recording new album in Melbourne, Australia, with ex Joan Jett, David Bowie, Toto & Paul McCartney's producer Mark Berry but finalized it with Swedish producer Robert Ahrling in Malmo, Sweden. The album was released worldwide in August 2011, and was titled Living My Own Life. The album has various styles of music and was released in 2011. Dino toured through 2009/2010/2011 in local clubs.

2012–2016

Dino was a part of a big international project in South Africa called Synkropation. The concept of the project is the album that is made of collaborations of different artists, including Dilana (who worked with Gilby Clarke, Tommy Lee, Dave Navarro, Jason Newsted), Mandoza (huge rap star in Africa), Alter Irving, Yvette Barnyard, Wake to wonder and Dino. The album is still in process of mixing. Unfortunatelly in 2016 Mandoza passed away, suffered from cancer, so the colaboration Mandoza/Dino Jelusic will be released posthumously. In 2013, Dino entered Iron Maiden tribute band called Made In Iron. They toured from 2013-2015. ane then split up. In 2014. Dino won 2nd place on Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk. After that festival Dino started having problems with his throat, and went to see doctor in July 2014, and in september he went under surgery, for Reinke's edema. During his vocal problems, he recorded first album of his own, composed by himself, and did 3 months of rest. On 7 November, Dino released Conceptual album called Prošao sam sve. It is album that is based on story of book 260 days from author Marijan Gubina, story about 10 year old boy who survived 260 days being trapped during Croatian war of independence. He came back with the new single Walk On The Otherside. in the early 2015. John Macaluso was looking for a singer and keybordist in his new band, and hired Dino. The album is waiting to be released. Dino is currently performing with his band "Dino & The Mad Dogs". The band is Hard Rock/Heavy/Progressive Metal based band, mostly influenced by Alice In Chains, Gotthard, Pantera, Zakk Wylde, Whitesnake, Dream Theater and Pink Floyd.

Dino is also member of Metalcore band The Ralph preparing their first LP called Enter Escape which will be released by the end of 2016.

Dino won New Wave in Sochi Russia and released two singles: Had Enough & Father. His band The Mad Dogs are about to release their first EP, and soon LP. He also got part in Trans-Siberian Orchestra for the 2016. winter tour.
