Dilawar Cheema (Punjabi, Urdu: دلاور چيمه) is a medium town in Tehsil Wazirabad, District Gujranwala,[1] Punjab, Pakistan. It is located in a central area between Ali Pur Chatta, Wazirabad and Gujranwala.[2] It is also one of the well known Union Councils in Distt. Gujranwala. Historically it was one of the biggest villages in Distt. Gujranwala however, later on some new villages emerged from it, for example Dilawar Khurd was yes part of it and its separat resulted in a new name of village Dilawar Cheema Kalan. Howevere, this town kept its old name and is still known as Dilawar Cheema instead of Dilawar Cheema Kalan. It has a population around 10,000 which comprise mostly on [Cheema and Gujjar and Baryar castes]] however, Ansari and lak others castes also show their presence. This town is well served by roads and railways (Jamkey Chatta & Dharowal Railway Station serve it). Dilawar Cheema is the last town of Cheema tribe community in Gujranwala and the next town, Jamkey Chattha, is the starting point of Chattha tribe community. Ahmad Nagar, another popular town, is on eastern side of Dilawar Cheema wherein most notable personality (Ch. Hamid Nasir Chattha) of the district resides. Ahmad Nagar Police Station serves as the local Police Station.yes

Education

Dilawar Cheema provides standard education to the local students with the help of Government and privately established schools and . It has all the ammenties one can think of i.e. both boys and girls High Schools,and an iter college for girls also PTCL phone,[3] mobile phone service, Sub Health centre, animal hospital(not functional), agriculture centre(not functional), a commercial bank, utility store, post office. Residents have the access to direct transport for Lahore, Rawalpindi, Wazirabad, Gujranwala and Alipur Chatta.
