Dick Smith is a musician who has played as a guitarist for Earth, Wind & Fire Touch the World Tour 1988. Heritage Tour 1990. as well as The Earth Wind & Fire Album Heritage.Played for a Col Bruce spin-off/side project called The Grease Factor a musical collaboration with Shane Theriot of the Neville Brothers, Derek Jones, Jeff Sipe of Leftover Salmon and Aquarium Rescue Unit, and Count M’Butu of Col. Bruce Hampton and Aquarium Rescue Unit along with Johnny Neel, who played keys for Gregg Allman Band & Dickie Betts Band..As a Composer he has garnered three Emmys for his work in documentary film. As a session guitarist he has recorded on countless records including those by artists Aretha Franklin, Be Be Winans, Diana Ross, UK artists Lavine Hudson, Lynryrd Skynyrd as well as recordings for the great record producer Jerry Wexler of the famed Muscle Shoals Studios.

As an Actor he played the role of Til in the Academy Award winning film "RAY" the life story biopic of Ray Charles. He also provided the guitar work for the films music sequences.The movie was directed by Taylor Hackford (Officer and a Gentleman, Devils Advocate) and stars Jamie Foxx as Ray Charles Other Tours include:
