Personal life

Taylor's father, Alan Murphy, a multi-millionaire, ran the AM Paper toilet roll factory in Skelmersdale.[3][10]

Taylor married football agent Dave Gardner in July 2003. David Beckham was best man, while Taylor's bridesmaid was Jenny Frost of Atomic Kitten.[11] Sister Sledge performed at the reception.

Taylor has frequently been featured in the British tabloid press, as part of the Primrose Hill set with Sadie Frost (actress and ex-wife of Jude Law), and supermodel Kate Moss.[3]

After the couple had IVF treatment,[12] Taylor gave birth to son Grey on 25 June 2007 at London's Portland Hospital.[13] She and Gardner divorced in 2010,[14] with Gardner gaining custody over their son. Shortly afterwards, Taylor gave an interview in which she talked about her problems with alcohol addiction and bi-polar disorder.[12] On 1 June 2011 she gave birth to second child Lux, the father remains unnamed but Taylor says they have been friends for years and are not in a relationship.[15] In 2012 Taylor started dating Matthew Leyden, a builder.
