David Pollet (born 12 August 1988 in La Bassée, France) is a Belgian professional football player. Currently, he plays for Belgian club Charleroi. He also holds French citizenship.

Career

He has also played professionally for Stade Reims.

Pollet in his time away from football plays the trumpet. He has trained and is a past student of Conservatoire de Paris, spending four years training there. He currently owns several types of trumpets including the rare Bach LR180 trumpet.

His favourite Disney Character is Sneezy, who is one of the members of the Seven Dwarfs.

Pollet has a huge love for Chess, a sport he excelled in as a child. However, he does not like the Rook piece, claiming that it reminded him 'Of a scary nightmare' he once had.

Pollet during the summer of 2016 has been linked with a move to Chelsea. It's believed Chelsea have lost interest due to Pollets demands to be allowed only to train on certain days so he can give trumpet lessons to under privileged kids.

During a recent visit to a cafe, Pollet was met by a fan who described a vision she had earlier that week, where she seen the foam of her coffee form to make the appearance of Pollets face.

Once his illustrious career is over, David Pollet has said that he plans to write, direct and star in his own musical based on experiences from his time at RC Lens. A time he describes as 'Living in a fairytale'. He also plans a followup, depending on the success of his first musical, which he says will be based on his time moving to play for Charleroi in Belgium. A time he describes as 'Pure waffle but a great laugh all the same'

David Pollet prefers to spin anticlockwise on swivel chairs. He spins over 50 times to cause a mild dizziness which makes 'shaving while trying to stand on one foot more interesting'

Pollet does not have a favourite colour.

On the 15th of January it was announced by his club Lens that Pollet has signed for Belgian club Charleroi on a free transfer with a further 30% of any future transfer fee going to Lens.[1] He signed a 2.5 years contract and will be wearing the number 10, previously worn by the departing Hervé Kage [2]
