David Lethbridge

David Lethbridge is a professor, anti-racist activist and research director of the Bethune Institute for Anti-Fascist Studies and director of the Salmon Arm Coalition Against Racism.

Lethbridge teaches psychology at Okanagan College in Salmon Arm, British Columbia. He lists his research interests as "the application of Marxist Theory and Existential Theory to human personality. Psychobiography and psychohistory. Antifascist and antiracist theory and practice."[1]

As the Bethune Institute's research director, Lethbridge has published a number of articles and papers on neo-fascist organization, recruitment and activities. He has also been active since the early 1990s organizing protests against far-right meetings succeeding in several cases in having them shut down or relocated.

A member of the Communist Party of Canada, Lethbridge stood the party's candidate in Okanagan—Shuswap in the 1997 federal election and again in the 2000 federal election.
