David Hill (Labour adviser)

David Hill is a British political adviser who served as Director of Communications at 10 Downing Street under Tony Blair from 2003 to 2007.[1][2]

A native of Birmingham, Hill studied at Brasenose College, Oxford and returned to Birmingham as an industrial relations officer for Unigate. He later worked for Roy Hattersley and contested the Burton-upon-Trent constituency unsuccessfully as a Labour party candidate in both of the 1974 general elections.[3] After leaving Downing Street with Blair in 2007, he worked for Bell Pottinger.[4]
