Occupation(s) Singer, Songwriter

Dave McPherson is an English singer songwriter from Harold Wood, London. Best known for his work as lead singer and principal songwriter in award winning British rock band InMe,[1] he has also had some success as a solo artist in his own right. His style as a solo artist is far removed from his role in InMe in that the songs are primarily folky but still feature rich programmed orchestration.

History

Dave started working on solo material as early as 2004 during down-time from InMe's touring cycle. He has released a long string of independent EP's, all hand made and self released, and has toured extensively playing close to 200 shows annually. His debut album The Hardship Diaries was released in 2011. An unofficial release "Death By Sunset" followed later that year and contained the best of Dave's early and unofficial material. As a stark contrast to his debut, this album was much more stripped back and featured just one vocal and guitar track (recorded live) with no orchestration.

A second album, entitled Dreamoirs, is set to be released through crowdfunding website PledgeMusic and will feature full band arrangements with Dave providing all instrumentation on the album. The album's first single, The Wilderness, is set for release shortly. Every song for the album will have an accompanying music video. Dave will support the album touring with his new live band "The Make-Believe", which features current members of InMe and former members of Fei Comodo.
