Daniel "Danny" Foster (born 23 September 1984) is an English former professional footballer. He represented Dagenham & Redbridge, Brentford and Wycombe Wanderers in the Football League and Football Conference at club level and, at international level, was capped by England's under-16, under-18 and C teams.

Career

Foster started his career as a youth player at Tottenham Hotspur. Foster was part of the England U15 and U16 teams. Upon signing his first professional contract with Tottenham Hotspur F.C he was also capped by England at U18 level. Foster was released from Tottenham Hotspur and joined Dagenham & Redbridge in 2004.[3] He is a former England under-18 player.[4] Foster was to be an integral part of the Dagenham and Redbridge conference winning side and featured in all but 1 league game that season. Foster also earned 3 England C team caps and also won the four nations tournament later that summer. At the end of the 2008–09 season, he signed for Brentford, along with Dagenham team-mates Ben Strevens and Sam Saunders.[5] After a modest finish of 9th place in league 1 Foster mutually agreed to leave Brentford and at the end of the 2009–10, he and former Dagenham team mate Ben Strevens joined League Two club, Wycombe Wanderers. Foster and Strevens were both key players in Wycombe's promotion into league 1 the following season. Foster unfortunately was forced to retire 2 years later in 2013 due to a serious knee injury sustained in a match played vs Rotherham.
