Craig Lee Smith (born 20 July 1993) is an English footballer who currently plays for Portsmouth

Gosport Borough

Smith first started as a trialist for Borough in 2009, Scoring twice on an impressive debut in a 4-0 home win over Bognor in a friendly. He made his league debut against Bournemouth in September 2009, he also featured in the home match between these two clubs that season at Privett Park, but then left the club by mutual consent.

Portsmouth

On 21 August 2011, Smith was invited to train with Portsmouth, reserves on a 1 week long trial deal, and after impressing during that short time he was then offered a professional contract for a two and a half year deal with the club, which he signed. Smith then repaid that trust and favour after scoring a memorable hat trick for the Reserves on his debut against Brighton on 26 September 2011.[1]

He then made his senior debut against Doncaster, after being denied his debut goal in the Championship by the post after he shot through Doncaster's back four.[2]
