"Cover You in Kisses" is a song written by Jerry Kilgore, Jess Brown and Brett Jones, and recorded by American country music artist John Michael Montgomery. It was released in May 1998 as the second single from the album Leave a Mark. The song reached number 3 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart and peaked at number 91 on the Hot 100.[1] The song peaked at number 2 on the Canadian RPM Country chart.

Critical reception

Larry Flick, of Billboard magazine reviewed the song favorably saying that he delivers a likeable performance. He goes on to say that the production has an "easy, summertime feel that should serve radio well." He states that the only negative is the fact that the song is "pretty lightweight" with not a lot of substance.[2]
