Cornelius Lott Shear

Cornelius Lott Shear (1865–1956) was an American mycologist and plant pathologist.[1] In 1908 he created the American Phytopathological Society.[2] He was the first to describe the grass Bromus arizonicus.[3]

The standard author abbreviation Shear is used to indicate this individual as the author when citing a botanical name.[4]
