Conquer Divide is a metalcore band[5] whose members come from three different countries: the United States, United Kingdom, and Serbia. Although their official biography featured on the Artery Recordings website states that they were formed in late 2012,[6] the band exists since 2005 according to their debut album's producer Joey Sturgis.[7]

Background

The band was formed by vocalist and guitarist Suzie Reagan and guitarist Kristen Wousterz. The lineup was later completed with bassist Sara Ann, drummer Tamara Tadic and singer Kiarely Castillo.[8] After the release of their debut single "Eyes Wide Shut", they got signed to Artery Recordings in 2014.[9] On March 1, 2014, Conquer Divide announced that guitarist Izzy Johnson would now be a member of the band. Shortly after, Suzie left the band due to musical differences and was replaced by Janel Duarte.[10]

The band released their debut self-titled album on July 24, 2015.[11] The band worked with Joey Sturgis (We Came as Romans, For All Eternity, The Devil Wears Prada) on the album.[12] Sturgis is also engaged to one of the members of Conquer Divide.[13] The band posted a video about the making of the band and the album.[14]

On December 25, 2015, the band announced on their Facebook page that bassist Sara Ann would leave the band and that her replacement would be Ashley Colby. On March 10, 2016, vocalist Janel Duarte announced that Izzy wouldn't be able to tour with the band as of now and would be temporarily replaced by former SycAmour member Blake Howard.[15]
