"Coming Around Again" is a 1986 single by Carly Simon from the album of the same title and the soundtrack of Heartburn. The song is sampled in Simon's recording of the classic children's song "Itsy Bitsy Spider".[1]

The success of the song began a career resurgence for Simon. The single is featured on multiple compilations of her work, which include 1995's 3-disc box set Clouds in My Coffee, the UK import The Very Best of Carly Simon: Nobody Does It Better, the 2-disc retrospective Anthology, 2004's single disc Reflections: Carly Simon's Greatest Hits, and 2014's Playlist: The Very Best of Carly Simon.

Charts

The song peaked at #18 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Simon's twelfth Top 40 hit in the USA.[2] It also hit #5 on the Adult Contemporary chart.[2] It was also a success in Brazil as it was included in the soundtrack of the telenovela O Outro. The single was released in the United Kingdom in January 1987 and reached a peak of #10 on the UK Singles Chart in late-February.[3] It reached #15 in South Africa in June 1987. [4] It also peaked at #29 in Australia,[5] and #38 in Canada.[6]

Music video

A music video for this song was filmed and went into heavy rotation in 1987. The video featured a home movie featuring Carly Simon as a baby and as a young child with her parents.
