The cloud dragon, also known as the Draco Cumulus Welkin, is a type of dragon in the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game.

Publication history

The cloud dragon first appeared in the first edition Monster Manual II (1983).[1]

The cloud dragon appeared in second edition for the Greyhawk setting in the Monstrous Compendium Greyhawk Appendix (1990),[2] and is reprinted in the Monstrous Manual (1993).[3]

Description

A cloud dragon is a neutrally aligned dragon which can take a gaseous form at will, and can exhale a powerful blast of air.

Other publishers

The cloud dragon appeared under the "dragon" heading in the Tome of Horrors (2002) from Necromancer Games.[4]

The cloud dragon appeared in Paizo Publishing's book Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Bestiary 2 (2010), on pages 96–97.[5]
