Claes J M Loberg (born 1 January 1970) is a Swedish born Australian technology entrepreneur and designer who founded the music streaming and downloading service Guvera,[1][2][3][4][5][6][7] and currently serves on its board.

His company Guvera was ranked by Billboard Magazine as one of the years top music startups in the USA[8] Loberg was interviewed in 2011 by Fox Business in New York City [9] Also an early interview on Australia's news program A Current Affair A Current Affair Interview

Loberg raised initial $25million investment for Guvera through private equity firm AMMA[10] as reported in Tech Crunch [11]

The first TV ad for Guvera ran in 2011 featuring Rihanna, offering free downloads for fans[12]

Loberg was listed in Ernst & Young 2011 Entrepreneur of the year[13] after winning the Technology category in Australia [14]

He spoke at Big Sound in 2011 on the topic of ad funded music,[15] and at Digital Hollywood in Los Angeles in 2012 about the future of music[16] He spoke in January 2012 at Media Post's Social Media Insider Summit in Florida on the topic of social media, advertising and music[17]

Loberg's company Guvera, acquired Blinkbox Music from UK retail chain Tesco in January 2011. Then Blinkbox was closed six months later as reported in BRW Australia. [18]

Loberg's company Guvera, launched in India in 2014, at an event in Mumbai as reported in Billboard. [19]

Loberg founded his first company Hyro.com in 1994,[20][21] which was listed on the Australian stock exchange (ASX:HYO) and ranked as one of the biggest IT and web development companies in Australia with offices in China, Thailand and Australia.[22]

Loberg was born in Sweden on January 1, 1970 and educated in fine arts at Lund University Sweden, Business & Leadership at London Business School United Kingdom, and International Business at QUT Graduate school of business Australia (but has not yet completed his degree).

Guvera

In 2008 Loberg, Brad Christiansen and Darren Herft set up Guvera Limited in Robina, Australia. In January 2010 the company launched its legal music streaming and download service Guvera. Claes Loberg currently serves as its Director of Innovation and on its board of directors. In July 2016, it was reported that Loberg would become CEO as Darren Herft stepped down.[23]
