Chryssa Kouveliotou

Chryssa Kouveliotou is a Greek astrophysicist who studied in the United Kingdom and Germany.

Biography

Kouveliotou taught at the University of Athens before pursuing research work in the United States.[1] She received the Dannie Heineman Prize for Astrophysics[2] and shared the Bruno Rossi Prize for her work on magnetars.[3] She is a professor at George Washington University who had worked in high-energy astrophysics at Marshall Space Flight Center.[4]

Kouveliotou was married to fellow astrophysicist Jan van Paradijs.[5]
