Chris Anthony DeFrance (born September 13, 1956 in Waldo, Arkansas) is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins. He played college football at Arizona State University and was drafted in the sixth round of the 1979 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. He later played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. DeFrance consistently showed up for Saskatchewan's training camps overweight and out of shape. His work ethnic was also questioned. He was traded from Saskatchewan to Montreal for John Pointer (LB) in 1986. DeFrance was cut during training camp.
