Chen Xiang (Chinese: 陈翔; pinyin: Chén Xiáng; born 13 December 1989 in Tianshui, Gansu) is a Chinese pop singer. He participated in the nationwide singing contest Super Boy in 2010. In 2011, he released his first album Confession.[2][3]

Career

Chen Xiang participated in the nationwide singing contest Super Boy in 2010 and placed 5th. In 2011, he released his first album, Confession and held his solo concert in Beijing. Chen became the top-selling male solo singer for the year 2011.

In 2012, Chen went to Korea to film the web drama Secret Angel alongside Korean actress Kim So-eun and H.O.T member Jang Woo-hyuk. Secret Angel was awarded the KingBonn Award for Best Web Drama at the China International New Media Short Film Festival.

In 2013, Chen became a music producer for the first time, producing and released his 2nd album Float. It was the best-selling album of the year.[4]

In 2014, he released his 3rd album Reborn to Sing, and held the Reborn to Sing solo concert at the Beijing Stadium.

Chen gained more fame after starring in the highly popular idol dramas Love Weaves Through a Millennium and The Whirlwind Girl.

In 2016, he released his 4th album Whirlwind, and was cast in his first lead roles in Magic Star alongside Leo Wu and the republican drama I'm Not an Agent.

Personal life

Chen is dating his Lady's House's co-star Mao Xiaotong. He announced it on Weibo in 2015.
