Charles Richards Gunner (7 January 1853 – 4 February 1934) was an English cricketer.
Gunner represented Hampshire in a single first-class match against Derbyshire in 1878. During the watch Gunner was not required to bat, but he did take a single catch. He also represented England at rugby.[1]
Gunner died at Bishops Waltham, Hampshire on 4 February 1934.

At the annual licensing session for the Droxford Petty Sessions Division the Chairman said how grieved the Bench were at the death of their Clerk, Mr. Charles Richards Gunner, who had occupied the position for 40 years. The Magistrates had already passed resolution condolence with the widow's family
Family
Gunner married Jessie Kate Mason in 1880. They had nine children - seven boys and two girls. Three of their sons died during WW1
Gunner's son Captain John Gunner represented Hampshire in six first-class matches, before being killed in the First World War in 1918.
