Channel UFX is a multilingual lifestyle music channel from South India. Channel UFX was officially launched on Saturday, 29 May 2010 at Hotel Park Sheraton.[1] This 24-hour lifestyle music entertainment channel is owned by UF Group.

Channel Ufx launched its broadcast in the UAE on E VISION & E LIFE, catering to the Indian expats. Channel Ufx exclusive production, marketing and sales rights was obtained by Storyteller Media & Events in the UAE. Channel Ufx Food Bowl show hosted by VJ Nawfa is widely popular among the Expats in the UAE.

VJ Rochelle from Channel Ufx went on to win Miss India International 2012.

In 2010, Channel Ufx, in partnership with Oscar Winner AR Rahman, launched the first ever 3D concert in Bangalore Palace Grounds.

Transmission

The transmission is available through Intelsat 17 satellite. Live streaming of the programs can be seen at the channel's website.

Cuttings is an exclusive film-based show featuring trailers of both upcoming and released South Indian movies. Viewers get a chance to have a first look into the anticipated movies.

Famebook

Famebook is a half hour VJ-based celebrity chat show. The show enables viewers to catch up with what is latest in their favorite celebrity’s life, their latest films etc. In June 2011, the Famebook team interviewed South Indian actress Gouthami.[2]

Food Bowl

Food Bowl is a VJ-based culinary show. Along with the crew, the VJ travels across South India to explore the diverse food habits in the region.[3]

FEWS

Films and Entertainment News (FEWS) features the latest Audio Launches, Film Muhurats, Film – On Location, 100 Day Functions, Behind the scenes, Song Sequences and more. In July 2010 the FEWS team presented a documentary about the Arya and Amy Jackson film Madrasapattinam[4]

Hi Tunes

Hi Tunes is a back-to-back music show on Channel UFX, playing regional and English hits. The show offers the best of the South Indian and international music and ensures a variety of music from foot-tapping numbers to romantic melodies.

New Folder

New Folder is a back-to-back music show which plays the latest music from all four South Indian languages. It keeps viewers updated with the latest from the music industry.

Plug In

Plug-in is a back-to-back music show on Channel UFX, which plays popular English music. Various Genres from Pop, Rock, Hip Hop, R&B, and Rap are played on the show.

Triax

Triax plays three songs from the same artist, music composer or singer back-to-back. This will enable the viewers to get enough of their favorite artist.

Unreserved

Unreserved is a VJ-based travel show. The team travels with a camera crew to scenic and panoramic places of southern India. Special episodes feature in-depth city, beach, shopping, history, and festival guides. The show often goes beyond usual tourist destinations. Unreserved - Offroad covered the western ghats region at the Tamil Nadu and Kerala state border in 2011.[5]
