Living Chair Museum

The Chair Making Museum has been relocated and is now at Kraft Village Grafton Street,High Wycombe HP12 3AJ. A bigger and better museum exhibition houses a collection of antique tools and explains the process of how the bodgers worked in the woods through to the finished Windsor Chairs. You can watch a demonstration at a working pole lathe and shave horse used by craftsmen in the chair making process through the ages. After a tour of the Museum why not browse other attractions at Kraft Village ~ see Robert Bishop RPT in his Kraftinwood woodturning workshop where large bowls and hollow forms in Burr, Elm, Monkey Puzzle and exotic woods etc are being turned. There are also Artist studios, a craft gift shop and a large contemporary art gallery, not to be missed.
