Ceremonial Barge Chesapeake

the Ceremonial Barge Chesapeake

The Ceremonial Barge Chesapeake, also known as the Chief of Naval Operations' Barge, is a 63-foot (19 m) motor yacht owned and crewed by the United States Navy and assigned to the United States Chief of Naval Operations for social entertaining. Chesapeake was acquired by the Navy from the Drug Enforcement Administration which seized it from narcotics traffickers. It carries a normal complement of five.[1]

In 1992 the Chesapeake hosted an informal meeting between George H.W. Bush and Boris Yeltsin.[2]
