Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia

The Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia (CGIE) is a major research institute based in Tehran, Iran. Established in 1983, it is charged with the task of researching and publishing general and topical encyclopedias about Iranian and Islamic culture.
