CargoLogicAir, LLC is a UK based cargo airline associated with Air Bridge Cargo. It will operate scheduled cargo services as well as charter service[3] from its base at London Stansted Airport[4][5] on routes between the UK, Europe, Asia, Africa and North America.[6] All the flights are planned to be operated from London Stansted Airport. The airline commenced operations in January 2016. The airline is aiming to become the leading airline in the European air cargo market offering cargo services on scheduled and charter flights.[7][8]

History

The airline was established on June 23, 2015 to work in a partnership with airline AirBridgeCargo. AirBridgeCargo have significant problems with operating on some routes and with this new partnership with CargoLogicAir the plan is to make these operations possible. AirBridgeCargo (ABC) have for some time been looking for an EU based airline to open a partnership with and make flights to Africa and Latin America possible as the airline lacks flights to these continents. ABC has continued to state its interest in Martinair, on either a partnership level or as a stakeholder. This will not changed with the startup of CargoLogicAir.[9]

AirBridgeCargo have been looking at operating their 747-8F between Manchester and the US. It has already taken on staff from Global Supply Systems, the former operator of British Airways World Cargo's 747-8 F's.[10] CargoLogicAir is expected to take advantage of traffic rights its sister company AirBridgeCargo does not have under its Russian AOC and start operations with routes into Africa that are not currently covered by ABC.

CargoLogicAir is almost set to start operating and received the required Type A[11] AOC.[5][7] The airline's management and crew are now in place. The first aircraft, a 747-400F, is painted in the airline's livery and is undergoing test and training flights in the UK after receiving its registration,[12] G-CLAA.[5][13]

CargoLogicAir have so far operated a number of charter flights to destinations such as Bari, Frankfurt and Munich.[14][15] It is now planning to start scheduled operations to the following list of destinations.[15]
