Capannori (Italian pronunciation: [kaˈpannori]) is an Italian town and comune in the province of Lucca, in northern Tuscany. As of 2011 its population was of 44,892.[1]

History

Villages such as Sant’Andrea di Compito date back to medieval times. Colognora was featured in the 2008 film Miracle at St. Anna.

Located in south of its province, next to the provinces of Pisa and Pistoia, the municipality borders with Altopascio, Bientina (PI), Borgo a Mozzano, Buti (PI), Calci (PI), Lucca, Montecarlo, Pescia (PT), Porcari, San Giuliano Terme (PI), and Villa Basilica.
