Caanthus

Caanthus is also a synonym of the cylindrical bark beetle genus Ciconissus.

In Greek mythology, Caanthus /kˈænθəs/ was the son of Oceanus and Tethys, and the sister of Melia, one of the Oceanids.[1] He was commanded by his father Oceanus to seek his sister Melia, who had been carried away, by Apollo. But being unable to get Melia away from him, Caanthus set fire to the precinct of Apollo, and Apollo shot and killed him.[2]
