CI Resources is an ASX listed company which operates the phosphate mine and provides services to the Immigration Reception and Processing Centre on Christmas Island.[3][4]

The company was established in 1987.[3][5] The company owned 63 percent share of Phosphate Resources Ltd.[4] It has been reported earlier 2015 that CI Resources will buyout Phosphate Resources[6] which operates the mine on Christmas Island since 1990.[4][7][8]
