Brush Engineered Materials Inc. (NYSE: MTRN) is a multinational company specializing in high performance engineered materials emphasizing the qualities of strength, reliability, miniaturization and weight savings, thermal dissipation, electrical conductivity and reflectivity. It is particularly well known for its productions of beryllium and beryllium alloys.

The company’s engineered materials are used in the telecommunications, computer, automotive electronics, industrial components, aerospace, defense, and appliance industries.

Brush Engineered Materials Inc. changed its name to Materion Corporation on March 8, 2011, and now trades under the symbol MTRN.
