Brilhante F.C.

Brilhante F.C. (acronym of Brilhante Futebol Clube (in English: "Brilhante Soccer Club")) is a Brazilian serie co-produced and displayed by TV Brasil and Nickelodeon Brasil which premiered at the first broadcaster on 23 May 2011[1] and in the second broadcaster on 2 September 2013[2] with the production made by the Brazilian production company Mixer. On 1 December 2013, the series premiered in TV Cultura.[3]

Plot

The series chronicles the story of five girls in Santa Rita do Sapucaí, in Minas Gerais, fighting against prejudice by forming a female soccer team. Directed by Kiko Ribeiro, Luís Pinheiro and Zaracla, the series has football as a backdrop to address the drama and turmoil of youths in search of their identity.

Rita has fourteen years and is the leader of the younger girls' soccer team in Santa Rita do Sapucaí. Jessy (the English nickname of Jaciara) is independent, arrogant and competitive that just arrived from the United States and not become accustomed to the lower city scenery. Raquel is another special girl who tries at the same time, follow the rules of her religion and play smoothly for the team. Giovana is a cousin of Rita trying to enter trendy, nail care and help the girls on the team. Franciele (with Formiga nickname) is the best friend of Rita and one of the best players on the team, another character who has many surprises waiting for her along the series.
