Brad Hall (producer)

Brad Hall (born Douglas Bradford Hall; May 16, 1968) sometimes credited as D. Bradford Hall[1] is an American film producer and entrepreneur and is best known as the founder and owner of the entertainment industry website EntertainmentCareers.net.[2]

Career

Hall was a producer on the film The Sky Is Falling in 2000.[5] The film had previously been cancelled due to investors removing themselves from the project, but Hall came onto the project soon after the writing team had raised enough financing themselves to move forward with the film project.[6] Hall was also the producer of three short films between 1993 and 1994.[1] His short The Traveling Poet appeared on Late Night with David Letterman in 1993,[7] as did his short Poolside Ecstasy[8] and Housewives: The Making of the Cast Album. The shorts featured and were directed by four time Emmy Award winner Chris Elliott.[9] Hall was also a production assistant on several feature films in the 1990s and assistant director on the television show Sports Theater with Shaquille O'Neal in 1998.[1]

In 2000 he founded EntertainmentCareers.net, which connects job seekers to major movie and music companies.[10][11] Since then Hall has been interviewed regarding the Entertainment Industry, small business, internet business issues including marketing and customer service and has served on panel discussions on careers and the entertainment industry.[10][12] [13]


In 2003 Hall was featured in the book Guerilla PR Wired. The interview with Hall was featured as an example of best practices in internet based businesses, online marketing and customer service.[14]

Brad is a speaker and guest lecturer on Startups/Entrepreneurship, the Entertainment Industry and Career Management.[15] [16] [17]

Reading to Kids

In 1999 Hall Co-founded Reading to Kids, a 501c3 organization, and served as Treasurer and board member.[4] Reading to Kids is a grassroots organization dedicated to inspiring underserved children with a love of reading, thereby enriching their lives and opportunities for success in the future.[18]
