Bongripper is an American doom metal band from Chicago, Illinois.

History

Bongripper began in 2006 with the self-release of their first album titled The Great Barrier Reefer.[1] In 2007, the band self-released their second studio album titled Hippie Killer.[2] Also in 2007, the band self-released their third studio album titled Heroin. In 2008, the band self-released their fourth studio album titled Hate Ashbury.[3] Also in 2008, Bongripper released a split EP with Winters in Osaka.[4] In 2010, the band self-released their fifth studio album titled Satan Worshipping Doom.[5]

In 2013, Bongripper released a split with Hate via Great Barrier Records. Also in 2013, Bongripper released a split with Conan.[6][7]

In 2014, the band released their sixth studio album titled Miserable via Great Barrier Records.[8]
