Bongaigaon Refinery HS School[1] (or BGR HS School) (Assamese: বঙাইগাওঁ ৰিফাইনাৰী উচ্চতৰ মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয়) is established in 1984 by Bongaigaon Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited inside of BGR Township. The school building is three stored. BGR HS School is an Assamese Medium School under SEBA. There is in the Higher Secondary Section had two streams of Science and Arts. The school have Chemistry, Biology and Physics own laboratory in the school campus. There is a nice flower garden in front of Bongaigaon Refinery HS School. *(BGR = Bongaigaon Refinery)

History

The previous name Bongaigaon Refinery HS School is BRPL Vidyalaya. The name was changed before two years after came the Bongaigaon Refinery under of Indian Oil Corporation.

Uniform

The colour of uniform of the school is Blue Pant and Skirts and White Shirt for all. White pants-skirts & shoes have to put in particular days in week

Results

This school is one of major schools in Bongaigaon and also of Chirang District. The results of BGR HS School is too good specially in HS Streams.

Trip

In 2010 one group from the school went North East Summit at Silpagram, Guwahati to participate in Essay Competition, Quiz Competition and Art Competition organized by C-NES. The students won prize in Art Competition names are 1st prize *******, 2nd prize Priyasa Kundu and 3rd prize got by Simanta Kalita in that summit. This school also got 3rd prize in that summit of Quiz competition got by Manika Choudhary.
