The black-crowned tanager or black-crowned palm-tanager (Phaenicophilus palmarum) is a species of bird formerly placed in the family Thraupidae. It is found in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical mangrove forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, and heavily degraded former forest.
