A.K.A. Birdseye is a Swiss 2002 criminal comedy film starring Fred Ward and many other award-winning actors.

Background

The film is a mockumentary and was shot in Zürich, Los Angeles and Colorado. Ward's scenes were shot in Colorado, but with special effects added to the location in Zürich.

Before its official release the film premiered at the Locarno Film Festival on August 7, 2002.

Cast

Trivia

Fred Ward worked for a very low salary compared with his small guest role in the Hollywood motion picture Enough, filmed in the same year.

Director and writer Stephen Beckner worked on the set of Alain Robbe-Grillets The Blue Villa in 1995, also starring Ward. Later he stated that he had the idea to Birdseye during the making of the earlier movie.
