Billy Hartman


BILLY HARTMAN (Born 1957) is a SCOTTISH ACTOR well known for playing Yorkshireman TERRY WOODS in ITV's EMMERDALE from 1995-2011. He has made over 300 other television appearances including David Edgar's VOTE FOR THEM,David Kane's Screentwo SHADOW ON THE EARTH,INSPECTOR MORSE, A TOUCH OF FROST, HEAD OVER HEELS, HEARTBEAT, TAGGART, PASSING CLOUDS, MINDER, THE BILL, CASUALTY, OH BOY and LET'S ROCK. Billy played Dougal Macleod in the film HIGHLANDER and Jim in the 80's American cult film SLAUGHTER HIGH. A highly experienced stage actor he has appeared in many Regional, Touring and West End productions, most recently in The One Man Show THE CONFESSIONS OF GORDON BROWN by Kevin Toolis ( Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh) and,as Jocko, GYPSY with Imelda Staunton (Savoy Theatre, London). He recorded Boswell's LIFE OF JOHNSON and Stevenson's TRAVELS IN THE CEVENNES WITH A DONKEY for NAXOS RECORDS and has Platinum,Gold and Silver discs as singer,bassist and co-founder with Alun Lewis of THE WOOLPACKERS, managed by Simon Cowell.
