Zabdicene
Zabdicene or Bezabde (Armenian: Ծավդեք Tsavdek' or Զավդեք Zavdek'; Greek: Ζαβδιχηνής Zavdichinis; Latin: Zabdiccena; Syriac: Zawdai) was a Carduchian[1] principality in southeastern Anatolia, in central Kurdistan. It was located west of Ake, southwest of Anjewaci and north of Adiabene.
Zabdicene was considered a significant Roman stronghold. In 360 it was subject to an invasion by Shapur II.[2]
The principality declined by the mid-fifth century.
